The Subaru Legacy has a history of being almost good enough - but not quite there. Be it lackluster infotainment, or even something as simple as rear-seat legroom. The new 2015 Legacy attempts to right all the past wrongs of Subarus mid-size model. Did they succeed?

Aaron spent a day with the new Subaru Legacy around Big Sur, California and as this report. Oh, and seals. Lots of seals. Watch the full review: (also available on our !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .)

Subaru still builds cars? I never see a recent Subaru.

It was slightly in jest, but I am serious about my observation and I'm even a former Legacy (wagon) owner. I don't live in the US though.

The Legacy is dead to me. The last one was atrocious though at least it had a 2.5GT w/manual for a while.

Ah, in 2014 Subaru sold 424,683 cars in the USA. That's up from only about 150,000 cars fewer than 10 years ago. So yeah, they're everywhere here now. Where do you live?

In 2013 (full year) Subaru sold 669 vehicles in the Netherlands, compared to 50k VWs, 37k Renaults, 32k Fords, 30k Peugeots, 29k Toyotas and 24k Volvos. It means Subaru's got a market share below 0.2%. Even Alfa Romeo was at 1.8k, or over double the number of Subarus despite the very limited and aged lineup of Alfa.

Ahem, my 2005 Legacy GT Limited wagon (manual) would beg to disagree. They were VERY briefly excellent and then immediately proceeded to being sub-par again.

Why is it that Subaru continually fucks up the front fascia? The ugliest car I ever owned was a 2002 bug-eye WRX. Here, they seem to be chasing last year's Ford Fusion.

Am I the only one that sees too much of the fusion in that grille?
